The PositionWe are looking for a talented postdoctoral fellow to investigate the molecular pathways driving human alveolar cell regeneration and function under disease conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivating human alveolar and airway organoids using high-throughput methods
- Investigating disease-relevant conditions to identify those that mimic the disease molecular state
- Characterizing phenotypes and molecules using techniques like immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and scRNA-seq
- Utilizing pharmacological modulators to understand pathways involved in alveolar cell regeneration and differentiation
- Exploring how modulating identified signaling pathways impacts alveolar progenitor cells under disease conditions
Qualifications:
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field
- Background in cell signaling, particularly Wnt pathways, and experience with organoid culture systems
- Desirable proficiency in high-throughput screening techniques and data analysis
- Desirable experience with genetic engineering and iPSC technology
- Highly desirable proficiency in computational analysis and data interpretation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and collaboration abilities
