Head of Group Sustainability and Environmental Strategy

As the Head of Group Sustainability, you will play a critical role in driving the development and deployment of group-wide sustainability activities, systems, procedures, and policies. Reporting to the Head of Group Strategy & Development, you will work closely with the business and stakeholders to ensure the function supports and facilitates the ambitious sustainability goals of the REHAU Group.
Key Responsibilities- Subject Matter Expertise: Function as the company's subject matter expert and principal point of contact for sustainability-related matters.
- Strategic Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor to the Head of GSD regarding non-financial reporting matters for the organization.
- Sustainability Vision: Provide vision and direction to the development and deployment of sustainability targets.
- Reporting and Compliance: Ensure the development, implementation, and enforcement of a streamlined group-wide non-financial reporting in compliance with CSRD, EU-Taxonomy, and further international rules and regulations.
- External Reporting: Manage the annual external non-financial reporting and audit process.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with sustainability experts across the Sub-Groups.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, corporate social responsibility, or a related field.
- Profound understanding of CSRD, EU-Taxonomy, and further sustainability regulations.
- Proven project management experience.
- Able to effectively communicate with senior executives, including experience in preparing and delivering effective presentations.
- Proven ability to collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders, with a strong relationship-building skillset.
- Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.
- English and German fluency.
The start date can be negotiated according to agreement.
