Sensory & Consumer Senior Scientist
Coty is seeking a skilled Sensory & Consumer Senior Scientist to join our R&D Fragrance Center of Excellence in Switzerland. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with R&D and Marketing teams to ensure our fragrances and skincare products meet consumer expectations.
Responsibilities
Support R&D and Marketing teams by providing sensory performance measures and insights for Coty fragrance and skin care brands. Collaborate with the Consumer and Sensory Science Team, Technical Perfumers, Evaluators, Technologists, and Product Developers to develop consumer delighting products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the testing phase by executing sensory tests, developing protocols, and documenting results in the Sensory Quality Manual.
- Analyze data using statistical methods, write reports, and communicate results to test requestors.
- Manage trained external panelists, screen and select new panelists, monitor performance, and organize training.
- Own data analysis and reporting of the fragrance testing consumer program.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Sensory and Consumer Science, Biology, or Chemistry.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the cosmetics industry.
- Good statistical knowledge and proficiency with XLSTAT or similar tools.
- Excellent software skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- An analytical mindset and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to set priorities and respect deadlines.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Experience with standard Sensory packages, such as Compusense, Fizz, or EyeQuestion.
