Senior Accountant Position for Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Expert

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team at Lykke Group, a dynamic and innovative organization at the forefront of the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and a passion for the fintech industry. We are looking for a seasoned financial professional with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to support our Group Executive Management in achieving accurate and timely cross-organizational financial outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and consistently implement accounting methodologies to ensure compliance with Swiss GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Oversee and collaborate with external accounting teams on various financial functions, including financial forecasting, risk analysis, accounts management, tax return management, payroll administration, expenditure control, report compilation, budgeting, and business planning.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the financial team, fostering professional growth and excellence.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Lykke Group's accounting matters.
  • Streamline financial reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Effectively communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Solid background in accounting with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Big 4 or second-tier consulting firm experience is a plus.
  • Experience in reporting and consolidation under Swiss GAAP.
  • Understanding and experience of group-wide projects.
  • Analytical, structured, and strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Profound understanding of the cryptocurrency and digital asset domain, including legal and regulatory considerations.
  • Knowledge and experience in IFRS and GAAP accounting standards and regulatory filings in financial services. Experience in the United Kingdom and Switzerland is a plus.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are advantageous.
