Database Systems Engineer for Data Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Database Systems Engineer to join our team at Vontobel Holding AG. This is a unique opportunity to work with the latest Oracle and MS SQL Server technologies in a dynamic and agile environment.
Role Overview- Job Title: Database Systems Engineer
- Location: Zurich, Switzerland
As a Database Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating database platforms for two internally established database technologies: Oracle and MS SQL Server. You will also take on business-critical performance tuning tasks and provide automation for internal customers as a self-service.
Key Responsibilities- Engineering and operation of databases with the latest Oracle multi-tenant architecture and MS SQL Server releases.
- Support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for and with our partners.
- Innovative projects in the platform environment: design, implement, run.
- Unlimited possibilities within automation.
- Working during the full life-cycle of the platforms.
- Good English level (mandatory) and German skills (highly desirable).
- Academic background in the field of computer science or comparable course of study.
- Solid and extensive experience with enterprise platforms and database technologies (or understanding of topics in this area), especially administration and development of Oracle multi-tenant databases (as well as MS SQL Server databases are a plus).
- Conceptual and analytical skills as well as high willingness to learn.
- Good team player who wants to get stuck in and take responsibility.
- Good capability to work under pressure.
- Trustworthy and resilient.
- Willingness to work on-call.
