Debt Recovery Representative

At OVAG International AG, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Debt Recovery Representative to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about debt collection and has strong communication skills.

The estimated annual salary for this position is CHF 60,000 - CHF 80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Debt Recovery Representative, you will be responsible for contacting consumers, insurance companies, and law offices worldwide to collect past-due balances on our clients' accounts. Your duties will include:

  • Communicating with debtors and insurance companies in a professional, assertive, and courteous manner.
  • Billing insurance companies and following up on claims processing.
  • Locating debtors worldwide, utilizing specialized training, databases, and debt documents.
  • Notifying debtors of unpaid accounts by mail and telephone (85% outbound collection calls).
  • Persuading debtors to pay, negotiating settlements, and establishing payment plans.
  • Documenting collection activity accurately and concisely.
  • Resolving disputes by acting as the liaison between creditors and debtors.
  • Maintaining a high volume of daily, direct communication with debtors and insurance companies.
  • Performing administrative duties such as answering correspondence, preparing requests for clients, and writing reports.
  • Maintaining a high standard of compliance with international debt collection and privacy protection laws.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Bilingual proficiency, with native-level English language skills and the ability to read, write, and speak another major language fluently.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and solve problems effectively.

  • Keyboard proficiency and computer literacy.
  • Residency in Switzerland and a valid work permit.
