Clean Tech Business Development Manager

Job Description

As a key member of the Alfa Laval team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities in the clean tech sector. Your primary focus will be on finding innovative solutions to meet the growing demand for sustainable energy and reducing environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and validate business opportunities based on market trends, customer needs, and industry developments.
  • Represent Alfa Laval in relevant industry forums and conferences.
  • Network with clean tech experts, customers, and partners to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain long-term leads and opportunities in the clean tech sector, working closely with the sales team to ensure successful conversion.
  • Monitor and track leads, and initiate new opportunities in the CRM system.
  • Establish strategic partnerships in the region to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to localize market studies and develop a clean tech positioning strategy.
  • Work closely with global business development teams to ensure alignment and coordination.
  • Travel regularly to the D-A-CH region and Alfa Laval's headquarters in Lund, with occasional visits to European manufacturing sites.
Requirements:
  • Technical or engineering degree, or equivalent experience with a strong understanding of business principles.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, preferably in the energy and clean tech sectors.
  • Strong network of contacts in the clean tech industry, with a proven track record of identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.
  • Fluency in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Dynamics, Power BI, and other relevant software applications.
