At EPFL or ETHZ Hönggerberg, we are seeking an exceptional Systems Engineer for the Development of Superconducting Parametric Amplifier Technology. As part of our international team working on quantum devices at ETH Zürich and EPFL, you will contribute to cutting-edge experimental research projects.
About the ProjectThe project involves designing and simulating packaging for parametric amplifiers to minimize mismatches, thermal gradients, and ensure optimal magnetic field shielding. You will also explore novel packaging solutions for future iterations of the device.
Your Responsibilities- Packaging Design and Simulation: Develop and optimize packaging designs using CAD software and design tools to minimize thermal gradients and ensure optimal magnetic field shielding.
- Novel Packaging Solutions: Explore innovative packaging solutions for future iterations of the device, collaborating with our international team.
We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in quantum technology based on superconducting quantum circuits. Proficiency in English is essential, along with strong teamwork and excellent communication skills.
Requirements- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- CAD Software Proficiency: Experience with CAD software and design tools is required.
- Design Tools: Proficiency in Printed Circuit Board design tools.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Initiative and Creativity: Ability to take initiative and develop innovative packaging methods.
