About the Role

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Global Compliance & Reporting team as a Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities in accordance with Swiss GAAP.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements in line with Swiss GAAP standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, and internal controls.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Manage relationships with client auditors and respond to audit requests.
  • Supervise and train junior team members and support them in regular activities such as vendor invoice processing, bank account reconciliation, and account reconciliation.
  • Assist with implementing new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement enhancements.
  • Safeguard operations and maintain client confidentiality by protecting financial information.
  • Conduct variance analysis.
  • Lead client meetings and ensure ongoing communication.

About You

We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements:

  • 4 to 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or controlling, ideally with exposure to international clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
  • IFRS knowledge is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel; recent experience with SAP (S4Hana), NetSuite, or Workday, is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French (German is a plus).
  • Ability to present complex analyses clearly, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to strict reporting deadlines.
