About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Reporting Lead to join our team at C220 Alcon Pharmaceuticals Ltd Company. As a key member of our Financial Reporting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial figures for Alcon, including sales of USD 9bn.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Reporting Leads and other C&R team members to ensure proper documentation and correct recording of all global bookings affecting the consolidated figures.
  • Act as a safety net to ensure that no material mistakes are consolidated into the Alcon Group figures.
  • Support business growth by providing meaningful financial information.
  • Participate in the closing call and keep minutes, distribute, and assign actions to C&R members.
  • Monitor significant transactions and document and share lists of significant transactions and risks with Alcon Reporting Lead.
  • Deliver high-quality Business Segment Review (BSR) on a quarterly basis.
  • Coordinate with the External Reporting and Technical Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely external reporting.
  • Maintain relationships with external auditors and Financial Assurance.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to other finance groups, including accounting and consolidation of acquisitions and divestments, monitoring of provisions and accruals, and data provision to BPAs.
Requirements
  • University degree.
  • Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Overall relevant work experience of 5-8 years, with strong technical competence acquired in audit and financial reporting, financial reporting systems, and external reporting and/or compliance functions.
  • Practical experience with consolidation and financial reporting tools.
  • International experience and the ability to work in an international environment.
  • IFRS knowledge.
  • Ability to independently perform analytical reviews of financial data and write explanatory commentary on financial statement captions.
