Job Purpose

The Second Officer is responsible for performing assigned bridge watch-standing and navigational duties, ensuring the application of company policies, and supporting the Captain and Chief Mate in technical matters.

Key Accountabilities

• Execute bridge watch-standing and navigational duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Ensure the health and hygiene of crew and passengers by implementing company policies.

• Support the Captain and Chief Mate in technical matters, including emergency situations.

• Participate in cadet training and sanitation inspections.

• Supervise the Integrated Pest Control program and cooperate with the Safety Officer.

• Participate in cabin inspections and attend social functions as required.

Qualifications

• Fluent English, oral and written. Additional languages are an advantage.

• Certificate of Competency IMO STCW Cap II/2.

• Extensive experience in a similar position with another Cruise Line.

• Basic Windows-based programs knowledge.

• Sound supervisory skills and ability to work in a harmonious team environment.

• Recognised medical certification is required.

• USA VISA if required.
