Project Manager - Process Plants

Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a rich history of innovation. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Process Plants team in Switzerland.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects from transfer to final delivery and invoicing
  • Oversee project execution, adhering to business processes, instructions, and regulations
  • Monitor project performance (financial, schedule, quality) and manage risks, issues, and changes
  • Manage project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, and inspections
  • Ensure all internal departments understand their responsibilities and meet contractual obligations
  • Provide sales support during inquiry, offer, and negotiation phases
  • Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, managing claims and communication
  • Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve cash flow without compromising quality or schedule
Requirements:
  • Technical college degree or equivalent technical education, combined with a training in project management
  • Successful track record in project execution in the chemical or petrochemical industry
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as Project Manager in an international environment
  • Proven experience and skills dealing with international clients
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, excellent negotiation skills with international clients
  • High level of customer orientation and focus on quality
  • Strong process understanding and practical experience in SAP PS and SD Modules
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written is a must. Knowledge of German, French or Italian is an advantage
