Financial Controller

As a Financial Manager at Michael Page, you will play a crucial role in supporting the CFO in the financial modeling of new projects and innovations. Your responsibilities will include elaborating the budget and long-term business plans, analyzing financial and business performances, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with financial processes.

• Business Co-Piloting & Planning: Support the CFO in elaborating the business long-term business strategy.
• Constructive Challenge: Robustly analyze and challenge roadmap and plans with fact-based analysis.
• Financial Performance: Track monthly financial performances vs budget, identify gaps and opportunities, and close the gap initiatives.
• Financial Closing & Forecasting: Support the CFO and management in the monthly financial closing and forecasting processes in collaboration with the accounting department.
• Investment Evaluation: Ensure pre- and post-evaluation of major investments to secure an adequate level of return on financial investments and drive continuous improvement.
• Financial Modeling: Support the department head in the financial modeling of any innovation or project.
• Business Intelligence: Analyze market trends and report on non-financial performance indicators. Conduct market studies together with B2B commercial departments.
• Operational Performance & Compliance: Support in M&A processes, including identifying targets, gathering and compiling insights on targets, constructing and prioritizing the M&A pipeline, and planning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree/MSc degree in Corporate Finance - CPA is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
• 10+ years in finance controlling - experience in the sports industry is a strong plus.
• People management experience.
• Experience creating data models and financial models.
• Advanced proficiency in Office tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - experience in consulting is a plus.
• Soft skills: excellent business acumen, excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to/C-level management, quick learner with a can-do attitude, self-motivated, resilient, persuasive, and very well organized.
