Senior Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our team at Hocoma Medical GmbH. As a Senior Buyer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement processes and the timely delivery of high-quality materials and services.

• Sourcing and Contracting: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize value and quality from suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Purchase Order Management: Create and manage purchase orders, oversee the procurement process, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Obsolescence Management: Proactively manage obsolescence and sourcing challenges for end-of-life parts to minimize disruptions to production.
• Procurement Program Management: Collaborate with the Engineering Team to manage supplier development programs and support design-to-cost initiatives.
• Global Procurement Governance and Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of the global procurement strategy and processes, providing insights and recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Supplier Quality Assurance: Approve and qualify suppliers, conduct yearly evaluations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with international regulations and internal processes, maintaining adherence to Swiss and international ethical standards.

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Economics/Administration or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in global procurement within complex industrial industries.
• Ethical Leadership: Demonstrated strong ethical behavior and cultural sensitivity in an international environment.
• Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in both German and English.
• Project Management: Proficiency in project management principles and experience managing procurement projects within a global context.
• Supply Chain Understanding: Good understanding of the impact and role of procurement on the overall supply chain.
• Personal Attributes: Flexible, self-motivated, honest, reliable, proactive, and optimistic attitude towards work.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office tools and experience with ERP systems.
• Travel: Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% for supplier visits and other business-related activities.
