Corporate Sustainability Strategist for Environmental Excellence

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Corporate Sustainability Strategist to join our team at ABB. This role will play a critical part in driving our sustainability initiatives and supporting the organization's Net Zero targets.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Data-Driven Insights: Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics that distill complex data into actionable insights to inform organizational decisions.
  • Sustainability Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in climate, emissions, and decarbonization.
  • Critical Response: Respond promptly to time-sensitive questions from internal stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, define, and follow up on actions required to implement the agreed strategy and support its execution.
  • Training and Development: Develop trainings and workshops to promote an understanding of sustainability, emissions, and decarbonization best practices within key functions (Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management).
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement new technologies and practices to enable continuous improvement in our operations.
  • Global Standards: Stay current on global sustainability reporting standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Progress Updates: Regularly update and report on the progress of projects and initiatives to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications for Success
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent.
  • Experience and Skills: 3-5 years of experience, eager to develop a career in corporate sustainability, with the ability to work in detail and with a big-picture perspective. Proficient in managing and analyzing complex datasets, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills to generate and lead actionable insights.
  • Communication and Leadership: Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with experience preparing reports and presentations for executive-level stakeholders and engaging diverse teams.
  • Linguistic Proficiency: Excellent command of the English language is a requirement; additional languages are a plus.
