We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our IT infrastructure team as the Head of IT and Architecture. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, maintenance, scalability, and retirement of our systems. Your expertise in Linux system administration, configuration, and management will ensure that our IT infrastructure is secure, reliable, and efficient.
You will collaborate with IT leaders, developers, and stakeholders to align IT strategy and architecture with organizational goals. This includes leading the definition and management of IT budgets, vendor contracts, and troubleshooting/resolving IT issues while providing technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include evaluating and recommending new technologies and optimizing existing IT solutions. You will also report on IT performance, metrics, and risks, and communicate IT strategy and goals to senior management. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-availability, scalable, and secure infrastructure and Linux architectures is essential.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage IT teams composed of IT professionals, including server administrators, support technicians, and consultants.
- Plan, implement, and monitor IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulations.
- Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the Infrastructure and Linux environment and related capabilities.
- Manage and monitor the u-blox Infrastructure and Linux architectures, ensuring availability, reliability, and resilience.
- Lead and participate in architecture reviews, audits, and assessments, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
