Database Administrator Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our Infrastructure Technology team at Lombard Odier. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the excellent service level of our database infrastructure in terms of availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and participate in projects to evolve the database infrastructure
  • Ensure the proper functioning and evolution of databases and the Datawarehouse
  • Monitor the database infrastructure and investigate in case of failures and/or performance issues
  • Provide technical support and maintenance to various teams (production, testing, application support) and 24x7 on-call support for incidents on production and UAT environments

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in computer science, telecommunications, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing Oracle and/or MSSQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL databases
  • Familiarity with high availability (Dataguard and Always On) is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of scripting Shell Unix and PowerShell Windows
  • Strong team player with serious, proactive, motivated, and open-minded personality
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English
  • Resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate
