Audi is entering the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in 2026, with a new team and three locations: Neuburg (Germany), Hinwil (Switzerland), and the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for chassis development and race operations.

Your Mission

  • Work as a surface expert within our Aerodynamics department for the Formula 1 project.">
  • Collaborate closely with aerodynamicists and CFD engineers to generate complex surface models using CATIA 3DExperience CAD system.">
  • Maintain and improve existing methodologies for surface models, ensuring they remain sophisticated and effective.">
  • Improve aerodynamic performance of a race car by working with Aerodynamicists, other Aero Designers, and departments within a short timeframe.">
  • Develop innovative and comprehensive aerodynamic concept studies within the CAD system.">
  • Prepare CAD models for CFD calculations and further develop them in collaboration with Aerodynamicists.">

Your Profile

">

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a basic training as designer or mechanical engineer, or technical designer education, and corresponding professional experience.

">

A minimum of 2 years' experience in surface design is required, along with expertise in designing complex surface models in CATIA V5/V6/3Dx and broad knowledge of the GSD workbench.

">

You should have good visualization skills, imagination, teamwork skills, organizational skills, and a keen sense of responsibility.

">

Familiarity with high-tech environments and passion for motorsport are essential. A pragmatic yet scientific approach, self-motivation, dedication, creativity, results-oriented mindset, stress tolerance, persistence, openness to innovation, and a focus on detail are also necessary.

Proficiency in English language skills is required; German language skills will be an advantage.
