About Michael Page - Switzerland

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Geneva. As a Database Administrator, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance database systems that meet the highest availability and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement databases aligned with internal team requirements and business objectives, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Database Administration: Build and maintain database systems, including data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and performance tuning, using the SQL Server suite.
  • Data Management: Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users, defining, enforcing, and documenting database policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Conduct regular tests and evaluations to maintain data security, privacy, and integrity, monitoring database performance, and implementing necessary changes.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar position, with excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and the SQL Server suite.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in managing data streams, familiarity with database design, documentation, and programming languages, such as T-SQL, SSIS, and PowerShell.
  • Preferred Qualifications: SQL Server certified, understanding of data warehouse architecture and SQL Server replication, Power BI and SSRS report development skills, experience with TFS, Git, and Visual Studio, and proficiency in Azure services.
