About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Precision Optics Technician to join our R&D team in Zürich Seebach. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for manufacturing precision lenses, metrology, process development, and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing of precision lenses (aspheres, freeform) on modern CNC machinery
- Metrology of precision optics (tactile, interferometric, etc.)
- Process development and optimization
- Maintenance of equipment and workshop organization
- R&D work environment: Prototype and small series production
Requirements
- Completed professional education in precision optics (Feinwerkoptiker/in EFZ) or several years of related experience in the precision optics industry
- Hands-on experience with grinding and polishing of spherical optics using CNC (preferably Satisloh)
- Hands-on experience with characterization tools, e.g. profilometers, interferometers
- Knowledge of ISO 10110
- Fluent in English (level B1)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on experience
- Experience with manufacturing of aspherical or freeform optics
- Experience with plastic optics
- Knowledge of CAD design (preferably Autodesk Inventor)
- Experience with optical coating deposition technologies
- Fluency in German
