The ATLAS System Administration team at CERN is looking for a highly skilled System Administrator to manage the online computing infrastructure. This mission-critical heterogeneous computing system consists of approximately four thousand computers operated by a few thousand users.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all aspects of the large-scale installation, including hardware upkeep, computing infrastructure, operating system deployment and tuning, operational monitoring, and computer security.
- Working closely with existing experts to share team duties, from day-to-day system operation to user support and troubleshooting.
- Participating in the improvement of monitoring and configuration management systems.
You will also need to have strong communication skills and be able to collaborate effectively with the team.
