Customer Service Specialist Role in International Logistics

At DSV – Global Transport and Logistics, we offer a dynamic opportunity for a Customer Service Specialist to join our team at the Pratteln location.

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to handle customer inquiries, provide efficient interfaces to operations, and maximize customer satisfaction. As a key member of our Customer Desk, you will be the first point of contact for Swiss export customers served from our Pratteln location.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively handling customer inquiries via email and phone in German, English, and partial French.
  • Acknowledging, reviewing, and initial entry of incoming customer orders, along with conducting customs clearance checks.
  • Closely cooperating with internal departments, especially operations and the customs department, to ensure smooth shipment processes.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for customer inquiries or incoming complaints.
  • Maintaining and updating customer data in the internal TMS.
  • Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Your Ideal Profile

  • You have completed training or retraining as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk or a comparable qualification.
  • You bring extensive professional experience in freight forwarding.
  • You are very familiar with common MS Office applications.
  • Your German and English skills are business fluent, both spoken and written.
  • You work independently, responsibly, and in a structured manner.
  • You have a confident appearance, teamwork skills, and strong communication skills.
