About the Role

Viking is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Enrichment Lecturer - History to join our team on our award-winning Ocean ships. As a key member of our Enrichment team, you will deliver engaging and informative lectures on history-related topics to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver a series of destination-based lectures on board our ships, providing a context for learning and addressing various aspects of history, archaeology, and culture.
  • Conduct Q&A sessions following lectures and deliver scenic commentary where fitting.
  • Host tables for guests at dinner and accompany guests on shore excursions in various ports.
  • Be an ambassador for Viking and promote our brand values.
Requirements
  • Excellent public speaking skills and the ability to deliver knowledgeable and engaging lectures.
  • A degree or relevant personal experience in the field of history or a related subject.
  • Lecturing experience within a college/university/cruise ship setting.
  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Dedicated, flexible, and team-oriented with a positive and approachable personality.
  • Professional appearance and well-groomed.
  • Excellent English language skills in both writing and speech; foreign language proficiency a plus.
