Academic Mentor

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Academic Coach at Geneva College. As a key member of our afterschool program, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of elementary and middle school age children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic support and guidance to students in a variety of subjects, including homework help and tutoring.
• Develop and implement engaging recreational and educational activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and character development.
• Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a safe and inclusive environment.
• Monitor and report student behavior, ensuring a clean and organized program space.
• Participate in training and orientation sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• No prior experience is necessary, but a genuine interest in working with children is essential.
• Ability to commit to 2 days per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the afterschool program hours.
• Reliable transportation to and from the program location.

Additional Information: This position is located off-campus, and students are required to complete all necessary clearances prior to starting the role.
