Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

Status is developing an innovative, Ethereum-based app that empowers users to engage in decentralized communication, transactions, and DApp access on the decentralized web. Additionally, we are building foundational infrastructure for the entire Ethereum ecosystem, encompassing Nimbus ETH clients, Keycard hardware wallets, and Waku messaging protocols.
Distributed TeamworkStatus has been a fully distributed team since its inception, comprising over 50 core contributors worldwide. Our organizational structure emphasizes minimal hierarchy, flexibility in work hours, and a high degree of autonomy while prioritizing key goals.
Key Responsibilities- IDentify, document, and track bugs related to functionality, performance, design implementation, and user experience.
- Collaborate with developers to conduct thorough testing of new features, helping them identify issues and root causes.
- Perform comprehensive regression testing upon bug resolution.
- Develop detailed test plans and cases, ensuring meticulous coverage.
- Evaluate, prioritize, and schedule testing activities effectively.
- Participate in backlog prioritization for bugs and features.
- Minimum 3 years of QA engineering experience.
- Proven expertise in mobile application testing.
- Familiarity with creating test strategies and executing manual tests.
- Experience working with open-source development workflows, including GitHub.
- Strong self-motivation, sense of ownership, and result-oriented work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- A strong alignment with Status's core principles.
- Interest in blockchain technology and understanding of Ethereum.
- Experience designing and implementing scripted automated testing tools.
- Previous experience working in a distributed environment emphasizing asynchronous communication.
