Job Description

Role Responsibilities
  • Managing Journal Metadata: Inputting and maintaining relevant journal metadata to systems.
  • Handling Enquiries: Handling general enquiries from within Springer Nature and from external partners, esp. external editors and authors.
  • Ad Hoc Administration: Ad hoc journal and team administration.
  • Liaising with Colleagues: Liaising with Editorial and Publishing Assistants in other publishing divisions and units to share best practices and propose improvements to workflows, operations and communications.
  • Cross-Departmental Projects: Contributing to the wider Springer Nature Journals group by taking part in cross-departmental projects and initiatives, with respect to publication ethics, data transparency, Open Access policy, and other industry developments.
  • Journal Website Management: Manage and support journal websites - general updates, featured content, etc.
  • Editorial and Publishing Projects: Manage ongoing and ad hoc editorial and publishing projects under direction of publishing editors.
  • Promoting Journals and Articles: Support the publishers editors in promoting journals and articles.
