Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Chief Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering the overall solution for a system or sub-system, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality results. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of electric aviation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement system architecture, including product trades and new technology introduction
- Ensure design meets all requirements, including certification, qualification, and testing strategy
- Lead product change management and chair milestone reviews
- Collaborate with team leaders to create and maintain schedules
- Approve configured baseline for production (system shipset)
- University degree (Master's Degree) in a relevant engineering discipline (System Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems)
- Thorough knowledge of involved engineering disciplines
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in the aviation sector, typically 5+ years, with a track record of successful project completion
- Technical/engineering experience in aviation/aerospace with direct client management/engagement
- Broad knowledge of other engineering disciplines, HW/SW development, mechanical engineering to assess/coordinate the product development cycle on a high level
- Good understanding of certification and production methods and standards in aviation
- Management skills, resources, and budget
- Strong understanding of the company's key competitive strengths - technology, pricing, manufacturing capabilities, plans to scale, etc. - and ability to use these qualifications for identifying, engaging, and increasing the company's customer base
