Skilled Tradesperson

Main Responsibilities

The Carpenter will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of furniture in guest and crew areas, including public areas, bars, theatre, lounges, restaurants, and all other venues throughout the ship.

Key Accountabilities

1. Perform maintenance and repairs of furniture, fixtures, and other equipment to ensure the efficient operation of the ship.
2. Provide quantities and specifications of materials necessary for maintenance in cooperation with the Head of Department.
3. Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Minimum 2 years professional experience as a skilled Carpenter.
2. Fluency in English, with proficiency in other languages a plus.
3. Basic mathematics skills for calculating proportions, ratios, and measurements.
4. Knowledge of materials and tools involved in construction or repair.
5. Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
6. Excellent attention to detail, practical, and problem-solving skills.
7. Relevant knowledge in carpeting and coverings.
8. Ability to perform finishing carpentry with acceptable quality standards while minimizing waste.

VISA Requirements

Possesses a valid Passport, Seaman Book, and STCW certifications.
