Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Johnson Electric International AG. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative actuator components that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop actuator components using JE production technology and adapting to the company's digital transformation and automation.
- Develop projects by applying JE production technology, while ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-performance results.
- Design and develop actuator components, including related test and assembly rigs, following the development process to ensure clear control of timing, cost, and performance.
- Ensure quality among all project phases, from concept to serial production.
- Design and research different technologies and procedures to improve product development.
- Prepare technical documents and drawings using common Office applications and CAD software (preferably Siemens NX).
- Carry out subject-specified calculations and ensure compliance with customer and internal standards/specifications.
- Provide technical support for internal and customer projects in an international context.
- Continuously improve product quality and processes.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant role.
- Solid understanding of design and engineering procedures, technical know-how of modern manufacturing technology in plastic and metal processing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Fluent in either German or French with good communication skills in the other.
- Excellent communication skills with strong focus on maintaining close relationships with production sites, technical stakeholders in a multi-cultural and global environment.
- Experience in applying latest 3D engineering tools, preferably Unigraphics NX.
- Customer relationship management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, independent, and systematic working style, able to work under pressure.
- Initiative and diligence.
- Rigorous, autonomous, and able to work on tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to customer and production locations.
