Job Description

Bruker is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Buyer to join our procurement team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with business units, supply chain leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure their expectations are met and to provide access to decision makers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the supply base industry, including industry analysis, supply analysis, and segmentation.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct demand analysis with local stakeholders and track procurement performance within sub-categories.
  • Manage threads and risks, balancing them with opportunities and potential savings.
  • Support Commodity Managers in procurement topics and represent them on site.
  • Negotiate the lowest total cost of ownership for assigned suppliers and achieve saving targets according to sourcing strategy.
  • Define and manage business partner, strategic, and key supplier relationships to best meet the needs of the business.
  • Accountable for achieving improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and service.
Requirements
  • Successfully completed studies in logistics, procurement, engineering sciences, or a related area.
  • Experience in the field of procurement.
  • Strong teamwork skills and proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
  • Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Good English language skills are an advantage.
