Job Summary

Medecins Sans Frontieres is seeking a highly skilled Obstetrician/Gynaecologist to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role. As an OB/GYN, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing medical care to women and children in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform emergency and planned OB/GYN surgery, including instrumental assisted deliveries and post-operative follow-up.
  • Manage obstetric complications and provide training and support to surgical and midwifery staff.
  • Collaborate with international and national staff to provide comprehensive reproductive health services.
  • Develop and implement protocols for safe termination of pregnancy and other women's health services.

Requirements

  • Registration with a national obstetric/gynaecological college and current or recent practical experience in obstetrics.
  • Compliance with Essential Criteria for all potential Field Workers.
  • Ability to work in a resource-constrained environment and provide care in line with MSF policy and protocols.
  • Willingness to commit to a minimum of 6 weeks infield and potentially up to 6 months.

  • Competency with ultrasonography equipment and willingness to commit to ongoing training and professional development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
