The Role:

We're seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join our team at Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our hotel. Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of our hotel's finances, including accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and treasury.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: You will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, including accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and treasury.
  • Financial Analysis: You will prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow management reports.
  • Revenue and Cost Optimization: You will work closely with our revenue and cost control teams to optimize revenue streams and reduce costs.
  • Communication and Collaboration: You will act as a liaison between our finance, operations, and HQ teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Financial Planning: You will develop and maintain accurate forecasts, ensuring that our financial planning stays on track and meets our business objectives.
  • Accounting and Cash Management: You will oversee daily and monthly accounting tasks, including sales journal preparation, revenue/VAT control, account reconciliations, cash management, and following up on receivables.
  • Team Leadership: You will guide and develop our Mama financial team, helping them grow and succeed in their roles.
