Galena Asset Management is seeking a talented and driven individual to join its team as a Commodity Portfolio Credit Specialist. In this role, the successful candidate will play a crucial part in the day-to-day management of one of Galena's funds, contributing to its continued success and growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- The Commodity Portfolio Credit Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, executing, and settling credit facilities.
- Daily and weekly portfolio reconciliation will also be an essential part of the job.
- Risk and exposure monitoring and reporting are critical components of this role.
- Assisting in marketing efforts and updating marketing documentation will also be required.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant field, such as fund management, trading, administration, or research, with strong analytical skills is essential.
- A solid understanding of risks associated with commodity trade finance is required.
- Proactive and self-motivated individuals who can take initiative and contribute innovative ideas to drive continuous improvement are needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely, are necessary.
- Proficiency in additional languages is valuable, enabling effective communication with a diverse client base.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, fostering collaboration and trust.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including advanced VBA coding, is highly desirable.
