About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Digital Ink Formulation Specialist to join our team at flo Optics AG, where you will play a key role in driving innovation in ophthalmic lens coating production. Your expertise in UV ink formulation and printing processes will be instrumental in shaping the future of our company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, chemical engineering or related fields, with a Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree and at least 5 years of experience in R&D of digital ink formulations. You will be responsible for formulating UV inks for inkjet and other proprietary AM technologies, designing and performing printing experiments, evaluating raw materials and optimizing formulations, developing and implementing characterization methods, and managing laboratory infrastructure, material suppliers and equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proficient knowledge of UV polymerization chemistry
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of UV curing processes and formulations
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of inkjet printing processes
  • Solid technical background with hands-on, lab work experience
  • Ability to interpret data and draw effective conclusions
  • Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary environment with various interfaces inside and outside the company
