Job Summary
The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant to support the strengthening of quality local production of vaccines and biotherapeutic products. The successful candidate will work closely with the Local Production and Assistance (LPA) Unit to provide technical assistance and support to manufacturers in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and support to manufacturers in the region to ensure compliance with WHO and international quality standards.
- Develop and implement training programs for manufacturers and regulatory authorities on quality control, non-clinical and clinical development, and post-marketing safety documentation.
- Conduct on-site reviews of dossiers of vaccines and biotherapeutic products to ensure compliance with WHO and international quality standards.
- Collaborate with the LPA Unit to develop and implement standard operating procedures for provision of technical assistance to manufacturers.
- Provide technical input to the development of technical products, such as FAQs and concept notes.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in pharmacy, health sciences, life sciences, or other science or health-related fields.
- At least seven years of relevant experience in the production, CMC, quality control, non-clinical and clinical development, post-marketing safety documentation, and dossier preparation for vaccines and biotherapeutic products.
- Expert knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another WHO official language.
Working Conditions
- Off-site: Home-based.
- Travel expected.
Remuneration and Budget
- Remuneration: Band level B - USD 7,000 - 9,980 per month.
- Living expenses: N/A.
