About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Specialist/ess to join our team at the Eidgenössische Steuerverwaltung ESTV. As a Tax Specialist/ess, you will be responsible for reviewing complex refund applications for withholding tax based on the Withholding Tax Act and/or double taxation agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze complex refund applications for withholding tax, ensuring compliance with the Withholding Tax Act and/or double taxation agreements.
- Verify and control tax rulings for withholding tax, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Lead negotiations with domestic and foreign applicants or their representatives, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
- Oversee the Refund of Withholding Tax department during complex audits of banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, and pension funds.
- Participate in and lead projects related to withholding tax refund.
About You
We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced professional with a strong background in financial management, preferably with a higher education degree in a related field. Your expertise in financial markets, analytical and conceptual thinking, and excellent communication skills will be essential in this role.
