About This Role

The PM Group seeks a seasoned Mechanical Construction Project Manager to oversee Mechanical Construction activities for a major pharmaceutical construction project.

This site-based role in Switzerland offers a dynamic and challenging environment, requiring a strong leader who can drive project success.

Main Responsibilities
  • Establish a culture of excellence by implementing safety protocols, quality standards, and efficient processes to manage Mechanical construction activities.
  • Lead the delivery of Mechanical workscope by leveraging expertise in mechanical engineering, construction, and site management, balancing competing project requirements.
  • Collaborate with General Contractors and Design Teams to ensure project objectives are met, promoting safe and compliant execution of works.
  • Coordinate statutory and utility interfaces, including submittal and coordination requirements, to support Mechanical construction activities.
  • Manage key milestones to achieve the project schedule, monitoring progress and facilitating planning to address potential challenges.
  • Contribute to contract administration through technical input, identifying cost challenges and opportunities, and facilitating planning responses.
  • Deliver regular status reports on Mechanical construction progress, highlighting risks and responses.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction or Engineering or relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Mechanical Construction and/or Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of construction experience in Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences.
  • European work authorization.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • English language proficiency and ability to communicate with senior management.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
