At EFG International, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Compliance Officer to join our Onboarding & Periodic Reviews team in Switzerland. As a key member of our Financial Crime Compliance Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our clients' Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) information.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and provide recommendations for account openings and periodic reviews of existing relationships.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date due diligence and risk classification, analyzing the flow of funds and consistency with KYC information.
  • Assess clients' tax transparency risk, including FATCA and CRS forms and related elements.
  • Manage requests from other departments and third parties, including transactions approval and other matters.
  • Present cases of higher risk to the Client Acceptance Committee, providing relevant risk assessment and compliance recommendations.
  • Advise and support the front office on Financial Crime Risk and the Swiss banks' Code of Conduct in the context of the Exercise of Due Diligence (CDB 20).
  • Evaluate potentially suspicious issues and escalate them to the Financial Intelligence unit or relevant stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits or specific projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in compliance roles, with strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices.
  • Good understanding of current sanctions regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Professional English required; Swiss National languages and additional languages a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and with integrity, with superior attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Collaborative personality and strong time management and organizational skills.
