Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement global category strategies for MRO and Technology, ensuring alignment with corporate functions, Business Unit, and site-level priorities.
  • Manage a team of 7-14 global category managers and strategic buyers, driving category expertise and delivering value through category management excellence.
  • Design and deploy global category strategies for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Technology (IT), Professional Services (Consulting, Finance, Travel), and Logistics, encompassing approximately CHF 550M total annual spend.
  • Assume full accountability for identifying and delivering value based on category management excellence, driving 40M+ of Savings annually through negotiations and spend optimization actions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to monitor supplier performance metrics and actively participate in the tracking and reporting of said metrics to drive supplier accountability.
  • Develop cost reduction strategies and implementation plans that meet project/business needs, reporting all metrics monthly and maintaining the project savings pipeline.
Requirements
  • BA Hons (or equivalent) in Business, Engineering, or Construction.
  • CIPS or Six Sigma certification.
  • Highly experienced in Global Category Management, with the ability to react quickly and overcome ever-changing customer demands/requirements with a solution mindset.
  • Strategic sourcing expertise, experience in large CAPEX sourcing projects, and the ability to work with all engineering SME disciplines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management in a matrix environment, understanding customer expectations and requirements, and incorporating them into sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent business mindset, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
