About the Role
Viking is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Accounting to join our team in Basel, Switzerland. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our accounting information and providing financial guidance to our leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial records and reports
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions
- Lead and manage a team of accountants to achieve financial goals and objectives
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external partners
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
- 5-10 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting principles
- Excellent English skills, both verbally and written
- Highly detail-oriented and organized in work
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager
