Job Title: Market Analyst

Entreprise anonyme is seeking a skilled Market Analyst to join our team in Tolochenaz, Switzerland. As a key member of our Commercial department, you will be responsible for providing data-driven insights and analysis to support our trading and sales activities in the alumina and bauxite market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze market data, including supply and demand trends, costs, and other relevant factors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date market balances for bauxite and alumina.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide valuable information to our commercial team and stakeholders.
  • Present market analysis to customers and industry participants to support our sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with our commercial team to develop and implement commercial strategies.
  • Support various strategy processes and act as a key support for our Head of Market Analysis and Head of Commercial.
  • Contribute to long-term price forecasts for bauxite and alumina, and provide market insights for our internal and external reporting.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to systematically solve problems and anticipate obstacles.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and data modeling, with experience in Microsoft Office tools and a preference for programming experience (e.g. Python) and database concepts.
  • Strong interest in commodity markets, economics, and commercial issues.
  • Knowledge of the aluminium industry value chain is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to delivering timely results.
Profile:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, with a strong ambition to grow a career in a commercial organization.
  • Curious, proactive, and fast-learning individual with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience, with excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
