Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Schmid & Partner Engineering AG. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge software development for research and next-generation applications of electromagnetic technology.

Our team is dedicated to expanding knowledge and technology for characterization, optimization, and application of electromagnetic near-field, predictive modeling of interactions between physical agents and physiology, and medical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality, user-friendly, and reliable software applications for research and industry
  • Drive the development of intuitive and powerful graphical user interfaces (GUIs), scientific data processing, and computationally sophisticated backend solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to all stages of product development, from detailed analyses to global level
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology stack and related developments, including modern C++, Python, testing methodologies, Agile development, and continuous integration systems

Requirements

  • University or technical college degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) in Information Technology or Computer Sciences, or equivalent knowledge
  • At least three years of experience in industrial-level software development with extensive C++ skills; additional experience with Python preferred
  • Practical experience in product development of large code bases
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to quality standards
  • Self-motivation, good organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, friendly personality, and teamwork
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work independently in fast-paced settings, and meet tight deadlines

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is CHF 120,000 - CHF 150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
