Job Description

This role will support Underwriting and Operations teams in policy administration, invoicing, broker statements, credit control, and other administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Entering risk and policy data into operations systems within defined service levels
  • Proactively managing Salesforce prospects and ensuring timely booking information submission
  • Maintaining high data quality in operations systems through checks and reviews
  • Ensuring accurate tax declaration and processing internally
  • Establishing premium invoices within set timeframes after inception
  • Managing brokerage and Co-Insurance statements within set timeframes after receiving premium payments
Credit Control
  • Working on aged debt on a weekly basis
  • Reporting overdue debt to Underwriters and executing agreed actions
  • Updating Finance team stage and comments in Eclipse
  • Handling bordereaux and sharing claims information with Claims teams
  • Managing premium payments and ensuring timely policy assignments
  • Advising reinsurance departments on Facultative R/I payouts
Administration/Other
  • Driving continuous improvement of operations and underwriting processes within own area of responsibility
  • Supporting global operations projects implementation
  • Informing internal and external stakeholders proactively
  • Filing operations documentation complete
  • Assisting in training underwriters and new admin staff as required
  • Performing other administrative office tasks as deemed necessary
Requirements
  • Technical accounting or similar experience
  • Preferably with an insurance background
  • Ideal candidate worked in technical accounting departments of corporate insurance units/companies

  • Able to multitask and delegate tasks flexibly

Starr Insurance Companies offers a competitive salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits packages including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
