The Role
This role is responsible for leading and managing internal audit engagements and providing strategic advisory services to internal clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in auditing and advisory services and will be able to communicate complex ideas effectively to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute risk-based audit and advisory projects, including FIFA-specific reviews.
- Conduct internal audits of financial, operational, compliance, and IT-related risk areas.
- Document processes and test design/operating effectiveness of internal controls.
- Plan and perform advisory services to improve internal processes and enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Produce formal audit and advisory reports to communicate results and observations to management.
- Manage follow-up of open audit observations and facilitate agreement with business process owners.
- Assist external auditors with performing internal control testing.
- Assist in other ad-hoc projects and requests related to audit and advisory and overall process improvements.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Audit or a related field.
- Certification such as CIA, CPA, CISA is an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in internal or external audit or advisory services.
- Experience in preparing high-quality documents and reports.
- Experience in working in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Risk based thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to understand and learn new processes and concepts.
- Reliable team-player.
- Positive and friendly attitude.
- Sense of professionalism, independent judgment and exceptional work ethic.
- Responsible for maintaining confidential information.
- Fluency in English and one of the other FIFA languages a must.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI or a similar tool is an asset.
- Experience in data analytics is a big asset.
- Willingness to travel to other FIFA locations (1-3 times a year).
