About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Systems Engineer to join our team at Beyond Gravity. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electromechanical products, including slip rings, and ensuring their technical feasibility and compliance with client specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop robust and cost-effective technical solutions for electromechanical products
  • Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Altium Designer, optimizing performance while meeting mechanical and electrical constraints
  • Take full technical responsibility for electromechanical products throughout the development cycle and during mass production
  • Verify and manage client requirements, translate them into detailed technical specifications, and maintain verification control documents (VCD)
  • Write comprehensive technical documentation, including design descriptions, user manuals, test specifications, and manufacturing procedures
  • Perform RF and EMI/EMC simulations to ensure signal integrity and conduct validation tests (measuring RF parameters: IL/RL)
  • Participate in defining the R&D roadmap for strategic electronic developments and provide technical support to sales and marketing teams
  • Interface with clients and suppliers on technical product aspects, manage discussions related to requirements, non-conformities, and waiver requests (RfD, NCs, NCFs)
Requirements
  • Engineering degree in electronics, mechatronics, or control systems (EPF, HES, Master's or equivalent)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in PCB design using Altium Designer and interdisciplinary engineering (demanding applications such as aerospace, scientific instruments, military, etc.)
  • Proficiency with RF simulation tools (Ansys HFSS, ADS) and RF measurement instruments (spectrum analyzers, IL/RL)
  • Knowledge of electromechanical system design and thermal management
  • Experience using National Instruments equipment and LabView
  • Proficiency in PCB design with Altium Designer or equivalent
  • Experience in slip ring design
  • Proficiency with multiphysics tools and signal transfer technologies (Ethernet, video)
  • Expertise in reliability analysis, thermal design, or vacuum technologies
