Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Nanoindentation Expert - Metallurgy to join our team based in Zurich. The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise and support both internally and externally, conducting instrument demonstrations, developing new applications, and communicating with customers.
About the Role
- Contribute as an in-house 'nanoindenter expert' and provide technical expertise to internal teams and external customers.
- Design and conduct instrument demonstrations focused on research interests and needs of prospective customers.
- Compile well-written demonstration reports explaining nanoindentation data clearly and ensuring maximum impact from available data.
- Assist and advise sales and marketing teams on technical matters, fielding questions from prospective customers and interpreting technical claims by competitors.
- Provide expert technical support to customers via phone, email, online, and web forums.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A PhD degree in Metallurgy or a related field.
- A strong background in metallurgy and related testing principles.
- Experience and extensive knowledge of nanoindenters theory and operation.
- Excellent technical writing skills and ability to write clearly and effectively.
- Friendly, agreeable, and approachable personality with excellent people skills.
- Ability to draw from technical background when interacting with customers, designing experiments, or troubleshooting.
