Genf, Genf, Schweiz myScience Vollzeit

**About the Quest

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments, physicists and engineers study the basic constituents of matter.

The Process

At CERN, particles are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. This process gives physicists clues about how particles interact and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature.

  • Detecting charged particle detectors is crucial for understanding their behavior.
  • The Timepix4 telescope is designed for qualification, providing a tool for the fast sensor community.

You will play a key role in development, operation, and user support of the telescope. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of a readout board for the Picopix ASIC, a next-generation readout chip for ultra-fast silicon sensors.
