About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Discovery Scientist to join our Nutreco Exploration (NutEx) group, specializing in phytotechnology. As a key member of our discovery team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and developing novel botanical ultra-specialties for the feed industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the discovery work by identifying potential candidates for phytotechnology projects.
  • Investigate plant candidates for their phytochemical profile and pharmacological activities.
  • Collaborate with the NutEx Plant Development Group and Plant Production Group team to advance research projects.
  • Evaluate research data, prepare reports, and co-author scientific papers.
Requirements
  • PhD or master's degree in Biology or a related field.
  • Specific knowledge in plant systematics, phytochemistry, nutrition, physiology, or pharmacology.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with proficiency in German a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for collaborative meetings and site visits.
