Financial Operations Specialist

At Evooq, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating our general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements).
  • Lead and support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all required tasks.
  • Ensure financial records adhere to Swiss GAAP standards, IFRS, and internal policies.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and sub-ledgers with the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accurate vendor payments and customer invoicing.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial documents and supporting schedules for internal and external audits.
  • Participate in finance projects and workflow excellence initiatives to drive process improvements and efficiency.
  • Support the automation of accounting processes and the integration of new systems for improved financial reporting and operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a multinational or tech-driven organization.
  • Strong proficiency in Abacus accounting software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, advanced functions).
  • Familiarity with Swiss GAAP or other local accounting standards.
  • Fluency in English and French is required
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a track record of recommending and implementing improvements in accounting processes.
