About the Opportunity

EPAM, a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and development services, seeks an experienced Cloud Architect - Microsoft Azure Expert to join its team in Zurich.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions with a focus on Microsoft Azure. Key responsibilities include leading the architectural design and deployment of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, managing architectural risks, and delivering successful projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate proposed cloud solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and enhance them.
  • Ensure alignment with best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing solution architecture.
  • Drive the implementation of the Azure Cloud solution, utilizing Microsoft Azure, AKS, and Azure Web App Service.
  • Oversee the deployment process, ensuring ease of deployment, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to equip teams with skills needed for long-term self-sufficiency.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation and training materials.
  • Mentor team members on best practices in Azure Cloud, AKS, and infrastructure design.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience as a Senior Cloud Developer/Solution Architect in Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Expertise in AKS and Azure Web App Service.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Ability to balance ease of deployment, maintainability, and adherence to regulatory and security standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in driving transformational projects and implementing solutions at scale.
  • Proficient communication skills in English are a must; knowledge of German language is a significant advantage.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of CHF 120,000 - CHF 180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
